Arch Manning is reportedly the most "underpaid" player in college football in 2026.
The Texas Longhorns got Manning for free when the five-star quarterback recruit committed to the program back in 2022. Manning, who is entering what should be his final season of college football, is being paid now. He's got a handful of prominent, outside endorsement deals, like Ohio State Buckeyes star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
But in relation to what his peers are making, Manning is still vastly underpaid, reports Chris Low, On3's senior college football insider.
Arch Manning's dad, Cooper Manning, made quite the statement to Texas coach Steve Sarkisian when his son committed.
"We're not taking a dime. We want you to go out and get players. And you can show this text to every player you recruit," Cooper Manning told Sarkisian.
Texas is entering the 2026 season as a frontrunner
Will the 2026 college football season finally be Texas' year?
The Longhorns could enter the 2026 college football season as the No. 1 team in the country. Manning and a host of other talent are back this year.
"This is the deepest, most talented team, across the board I've had," Sarkisian has told those close to him.
Texas will open the 2026 college football season on the big stage, taking on Ohio State in a massive Week 2 game.
The Longhorns will start the year against Texas State in Week 1.
