The highly anticipated heavyweight showdown between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been filled with drama from the start, and the latest development involves a staggering $10 million offer.
With the two British boxing stars scheduled to collide on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, the ongoing dispute involving Dana White and Eddie Hearn has added another layer of controversy to one of boxing’s biggest matchups.
According to Hearn, Joshua rejected an offer worth approximately $10 million that would have involved moving the fight to the United States and giving TKO a promotional role.

Eddie Hearn Reveals Anthony Joshua’s $10 Million Decision
During an October 6 interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, shared by Uncrowned, Hearn discussed why he believes TKO wants to become involved in the blockbuster event.
“They need to be there front and center of AJ-Fury in a fight they have nothing to do with,” Hearn said.
When Helwani asked whether Joshua had been offered somewhere in the $10 million range, Hearn responded, “Yes.”
Helwani then asked whether Joshua ultimately rejected the proposal, which Hearn confirmed.
“Correct,” Hearn replied.
Hearn also revealed that the proposal involved moving the fight to Madison Square Garden and having Joshua attend WWE events.
Importantly, Hearn acknowledged that the proposal came through an intermediary who approached Joshua’s team rather than directly from White. He also questioned whether that individual was officially authorized to represent TKO.
Dana White and Eddie Hearn Drama Continues
The matchup has seemingly been surrounded by controversy since the beginning, with promotional disagreements threatening to overshadow the action inside the ring.
Hearn suggested that TKO sees significant commercial value in associating itself with the event.
“So there’s a huge value to that and that’s why they offered AJ a load of money to let them do it,” Hearn explained.
Beyond the financial offer, the situation highlights just how much is at stake outside the ring. Joshua and Fury have spent years linked to a potential showdown, but getting a date set and reaching agreements between all parties has seemingly been like pulling teeth.
Even with a date and venue now established, the ongoing promotional disagreements continue to generate headlines, adding even more drama to a fight that has already been years in the making.
For fans, the latest development is another reminder that getting two of Britain’s biggest heavyweight stars into the ring has been anything but straightforward.
Despite the ongoing promotional tension, Joshua and Fury remain scheduled to meet on December 11 in Cardiff, with Netflix set to stream the event.
