Los Angeles Angels superstar center fielder Mike Trout has been one of the best players in Major League Baseball for nearly his entire career. Playing in his 16th year in the majors, Trout has a career slash line of .293/.407/.570 with an OPS of .977, totaling 413 home runs, 1,038 RBIs and 219 stolen bases.
Trout has been selected to 11 MLB All-Star Games, won nine Silver Slugger Awards and three American League MVP Awards during his illustrious tenure with the Angels.
While injuries have hindered Trout over the past few years, playing over 100 games just twice since the 2020 season, the future Hall of Famer has been able to stay healthy through the start of this year.

Trout has appeared in 30 of Los Angeles' first 31 games in the 2026 season, as he has gotten back to his All-Star level, batting .248 with an OPS of .988, nine long balls, 20 RBIs and five stolen bases.
He has been the Angels' everyday center fielder, starting 27 games at the position, while he has been the designated hitter three times.
On Wednesday, Los Angeles announced that Trout was getting the day off from the field, as he was listed as the DH for the series finale against the Chicago White Sox, according to MLB.com reporter Rhett Bollinger.
The Angels have struggled lately, losing nine of their past 10 games, including five straight heading into Wednesday's game. Because of this, maybe a change in the lineup with Trout as the DH will spark something in manager Kurt Suzuki's team.
First pitch between Los Angeles and Chicago is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET on Wednesday at Rate Field.
