One of the most shocking developments of the 2026 WNBA offseason involved Angel Reese. After Reese established herself as an All-Star and a double-double machine in her first two seasons, the Chicago Sky traded her to the Atlanta Dream on April 6 in exchange for two first-round picks.

The Sky also sent a 2028 second-round pick swap to complete the deal and effectively end Reese's brief tenure with the franchise.

Now, 50 days since the trade and five games into the 2026 season with the Dream, Reese is clearly happy with her new situation.

Atlanta is thriving with a 4-1 record, the best in the WNBA, while Reese is averaging 12.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks per game.

On Monday, Reese shared several photos and videos of herself enjoying her time with the Dream on and off the court. By the looks of it, they were taken during their last two games.

In her caption, Reese referenced her move to Atlanta and how their last two outings highlight the reasons she joined the Dream.

"Game 4 and Game 5: reasons why i ran to ATLANTA youknowwhatimsayinnnn," Reese wrote in the caption of her post.

In their fourth game of the season, the Dream blew out Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings, 86-69. In the following contest, Atlanta overcame the Phoenix Mercury after a rough start for a narrow 82-80 win.

Atlanta showed in those games that it can dominate and pull out a win even in ugly games, something that Reese never experienced with the Sky. In her two seasons with Chicago, the team failed to post a winning record and missed the playoffs in both years.

Aside from their on-court performance, it's clear that Reese has developed a much closer bond with her teammates. A couple of the photos she posted included her simply having fun with her teammates on the court.

It remains to be seen if Reese and the Dream can maintain their strong start to the season, but Atlanta is certainly brimming with optimism right now.
