Angel Reese is already locked in for Game 4 of the WNBA Finals between the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries.
The Dream dismantled the Valkyries in Game 3 thanks to Reese’s performance. She had 21 points and 12 rebounds, making her the youngest player to have three straight double-doubles in the Finals. Not only did she dominate the boxscore, she got in Golden State’s head by talking trash all game long.
Reese spoke to ESPN reporter Kendra Andrews about the edge she’s bringing to the court during the Finals. She stressed the importance of winning the mental battle against the Valkyries.
“You can see it in their emotions and facial expressions,” Reese said. “A lot of us are looking at that, making sure we can find any little thing to give us that edge and have our leverage over them.”
We have no doubt Reese will bring that edge to Game 4 in Atlanta.

Angel is so close to adding a title to her résumé.
At only 24 years old, Reese is already a WNBA All-Star and the reigning Defensive Player of the Year. If she adds a title and Finals MVP to her name, that would certainly strengthen her legacy.
“If Angel Reese was going to have her status as a player stay at the level of her status as a celebrity she needed to get better,” FS1 personality Nick Wright said. “Well, this year that changed considerably. She’s been phenomenal. Angel Reese’s performance this playoffs gives her the opportunity to be a step behind A’ja Wilson as the top player in the sport.”
Game 4 of the WNBA Finals is set for Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. It’ll be televised on NBC.
