Angel Reese Sends Message to Ciara After Pregnancy Announcement

Team USA star Angel Reese showed some love to one of her celebrity friends.

Angel Reese is currently helping Team USA chase another FIBA Women’s World Cup title, and she played an important role in the Americans’ gutsy win over Italy on Sunday.

The Atlanta Dream star came off the bench and made her presence felt on the defensive end during the 55-52 victory. Reese finished with eight points, three rebounds and two blocks in 15 minutes. Her contributions were huge for a USA team that struggled offensively throughout the game.

While Reese prepares to help Team USA again, she took some time to show love to one of her celebrity friends away from the basketball court.

Ciara announced Sunday that she and former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson are expecting another child.

The post quickly crossed 1 million likes and over 31,000 comments from friends, colleagues and fans. Among those reacting was Reese, who congratulated the couple with two teary-eyed emoji reactions.

“🥹🥹Congratulations,” the WNBA star wrote in the comments.

Reese and Ciara have developed a relationship over the years. The Grammy-winning singer appeared on Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast back in November, where the two discussed relationships, motherhood and balancing life in the spotlight. Ciara also shared advice with Reese during their conversation, giving the WNBA star an opportunity to connect with the singer beyond her celebrity status.

Ciara and Wilson married in July 2016 and have three children together: Sienna, Win and Amora. Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir, from a previous relationship with rapper, Future. The new baby will be the couple’s fourth child together and Ciara’s fifth.

Back on the court, Reese has little time to recover. Team USA returns to action Monday against Czechia in its final Group D game. The Americans have already secured a quarterfinal berth after improving to 2-0, but they will look to close group play with another win.
