Angel Reese has enjoyed a breakout first season with the Atlanta Dream and now has another major milestone to celebrate. The three-time All-Star forward has helped the Dream climb to 19-11, averaging 16.0 points, 11.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists. She also leads the league in double-doubles (21), ranks second for most total rebounds (339) and rebounds per game, and remains one of the favorites for All-WNBA honors.
Earlier this year, she helped the United States qualify for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup, averaging 6.8 points and 8.0 rebounds over five qualifying games as part of a young Team USA squad.

On Thursday, USA Basketball officially named Reese to its 12-player roster for the FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin.
Shortly after the announcement, the Dream star shared her reaction on X.
“So thankful to represent USA and compete alongside my Rhy for a gold medal. Such an honor, and I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity. Let’s go!! 🥇♥️”
Reese will be joined on Team USA by fellow Atlanta Dream star Rhyne Howard, along with Indiana Fever duo Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston, Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier, Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers, Las Vegas Aces trio A’ja Wilson, Chelsea Gray and Jackie Young, New York Liberty forward Breanna Stewart and Phoenix Mercury guards Kahleah Copper and Kelsey Plum.
The World Cup is set to begin in September. In the meantime, Reese and the Dream will continue their push for a higher playoff seeding. Atlanta sits fourth in the WNBA and returns to action Friday night on the road against the Washington Mystics.
