Atlanta Dream superstar Angel Reese led her team to victory Monday night, tying the WNBA Finals series against the Golden State Valkyries.
The Dream stole home-court advantage with a 79-65 win in Game 2, splitting the first two games at Chase Center.
Reese finished with a double-double of 30 points and 16 rebounds, along with three assists and two blocks.
The three-time All-Star delivered a historic performance, becoming the youngest player in WNBA history to post at least 30 points and 15 rebounds in the finals.
Following the crucial win on the road, the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year made a request to the Dream faithful.
“Atlanta, y’all better pull up and pop out. I’m looking forward to it,” Reese said during her postgame interview.
The series now shifts to Atlanta for Games 3 and 4. The Dream will host the Valkyries at State Farm Arena, looking to go up 3-1 before Game 5 returns to the Bay Area. As Reese said, she expects Dream fans to show out and support the team.
Aside from Reese, Allisha Gray and Jordin Canada added 18 and 13 points, respectively. This marked the Dream’s first WNBA Finals win after being swept in their previous three trips to the championship round.
Meanwhile, Gabby Williams and Tiffany Hayes led the Valkyries in scoring with 14 points each, while Veronica Burton added 11.
Game 3 is on Wednesday, with tipoff from State Farm Arena scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET on USA Network.
