Angel Reese is headed to another WNBA All-Star Game after putting together the best season of her young career. The Atlanta Dream forward has continued to build on the success she enjoyed in college, earning her third consecutive All-Star selection while helping Atlanta enter the break with a 16-10 record.
In her first season with the Dream, Reese is averaging a career-high 15.4 points and 11.5 rebounds, the second-best mark in the WNBA through the All-Star break. But before taking the floor for this weekend's festivities, Reese had another announcement to share with fans.
Angel Reese's 'Bayou Barbie' Legacy Continues
The Dream star revealed Friday that she is getting her own Barbie doll, turning her longtime "Bayou Barbie" nickname into an official collaboration.
“This Barbie Knows Ball 🎀🏀 The Angel Reese Barbie Doll Is Out Now! @reebok Angel Reese 1 Barbie out 8/3!” Reese wrote in her Instagram post.
The release also includes a special edition of the Reebok Angel Reese 1 in a pink-inspired colorway created alongside Barbie. Fans will also be able to purchase a matching version of the shoe when it launches.
The doll features several details tied to Reese's basketball journey. It wears her signature No. 5 jersey with the Atlanta Dream while also incorporating No. 10, the number she wore during her time at LSU and with the Chicago Sky. It also includes her signature leggings, headband and a pair of Barbie pink Reebok sneakers.
The collaboration adds another milestone to Reese's growing profile both on and off the court. Since entering the WNBA as the No. 7 overall pick in the 2024 draft, she has become one of the league's most recognizable players while continuing to establish herself as one of its top rebounders.
Reese is not the first WNBA player to receive the honor. Seattle Storm legend Sue Bird received her own signature Barbie in 2024, two years after retiring from professional basketball.
Reese will now head into All-Star weekend with another accomplishment to celebrate as she continues a standout season with Atlanta.
