The Atlanta Dream were able to even up their series with the Golden State Valkyries thanks to a 79-65 Game 2 Finals win — and the play of Angel Reese was a big reason why.
The All-Star forward dropped 30 points and 16 rebounds on 10-of-16 from the field to go along with a steal and two blocks.
Per usual, Angel was the emotional leader of her team. And when asked about her “lively language” in Game 1, the three-time All-Star had a perfect reaction.

Angel Reese reacts to question about her ‘lively’ WNBA Finals language
Speaking to reporters after the game, Reese, head coach Karl Smesko and teammate Jordin Canada were asked about the energy Angel brings and what kind of impact it has on their team.
“When Angel demands the ball the way she did, and TV cameras caught her using some lively language, what kind of impact does that have beyond the practical of getting her the ball when she’s that animated and fired up?” a media member asked (via Yahoo Sports), as cameras zoomed in on Angel’s face.
That’s when Angel could be seen shooting a look at the person who asked the question with fans having her back online:
“He tried to create an issue by asking if they get offended when she’s on one. He can go to hell,” a user said.
“When it comes to black athletes, reporters are always on some bs. It’s so weird,” another person claimed.
“What type of rage bait question is this ?” Su’a Cravens asked.
“She gave us a new meme,” a fan laughed.
“They let anyone get media access in golden state. Get this tone policing bs out of here 😒” another user replied.
Canada also defended Reese’s on-court energy and demeanor during her answer as the Dream head back to ATL for a pivotal Game 3.
