Angel Reese and her fans want Caitlin Clark supporters to know that people are watching women’s basketball because of her, too.
“I know I’ll go down in history, I’ll look back in 20 years and be like, ‘Yeah, the reason why we watching women’s basketball is not just because of one person, it’s because of me too,'” Reese declared last year. “And I want y’all to realize that.”
Reese has been fed up with some of Caitlin Clark’s fans.
“I think it’s really just the fans — her fans, the Iowa fans, now the Indiana fans — that are like…they ride for her,” Reese said. “And I respect that, but sometimes it’s very disrespectful. I think there’s a lot of racism when it comes to it, and I don’t believe she stands on any of that.”

The rivalry continued over the weekend, when Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever took down Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream in overtime.
Reese had a chance to win the game in regulation, but she missed a game-winning layup at the buzzer.
In the wake of that game doing monster TV ratings, Angel Reese’s fans have been issued a serious challenge.
Reese’s fans dealt ‘challenge’ in rivalry vs. Clark
While it’s clear that Reese is a good, popular player, the TV ratings prove that Clark is the real driver of new interest.
“Angel Reese fans, I have a very simple challenge for you. 😂 You’ve called me every name in the book because I support Caitlin Clark. So prove me wrong: Show me ONE Angel Reese game that set a WNBA record for viewership without Caitlin Clark being involved. ONE. You say the records are because of Angel? Cool. Show me the receipts. Until then, I’ll happily accept whatever name you want to call me. 😂 I’m just asking for ONE game. Shouldn’t be that hard… right?” one Caitlin Clark supporter shared on X.
Clark and her supporters are constantly pointing to the TV ratings – and at this point, it’s for good reason.
