Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream defeated the Toronto Tempo 107-95 during Monday's showdown at Gateway Center Arena @ College Park. Reese was sensational once again, finishing with a monster double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds, along with two assists, one steal and one block.
Making the win even better, Reese made history with her performance. It was her 22nd double-double of the season, setting a new Dream record for a single campaign.
WNBA legend Tina Charles previously held the franchise record for most double-doubles in a season with 21, which she set in 2024.
The Dream celebrated Reese's achievement on social media with a powerful message. What stood out from Atlanta's post, however, was the new nickname they gave her: "Double-Diva."

"She IS the Double-Diva," the Dream wrote. "She IS at the top of her game. And she IS etched into Atlanta Dream history with the most double-doubles in a single season."
Atlanta's post drew plenty of reactions, with fans mentioning Reese's other nicknames, such as "Double-Double Queen" and "Double-Double Barbie."
Considering that the Dream have 12 games left to play, it's safe to assume that Reese will add more to her double-double tally. In fact, she is well on track to set a new single-season double-double record.
Alyssa Thomas owns the record for the most double-doubles in a campaign in WNBA history. She set the mark in 2023 with 28 of such stat lines.
Including Monday's game, Reese has recorded a double-double in 12 of the Dream's last 15 games.
