Controversial social media influencer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate were arrested by U.S. Marshals on July 18, 2026, outside the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida. The arrest occurred just before Andrew Tate was scheduled to co-host the IBA Bare Knuckle 6 bare-knuckle boxing event alongside former UFC champion Jon Jones.
The Tates were taken into custody by U.S. federal authorities as British authorities seek their extradition to the United Kingdom on a slew of new criminal charges. The Crown Prosecution Service recently revealed in a statement that they authorized 38 new charges against the brothers, bringing the total they face in the UK to 59.
Andrew Tate also competed in a boxing match against Chase DeMoor in December 2025, losing to the younger influencer who had far less combat experience. The fight was held by Misfits Boxing, a celebrity boxing organization that Andrew Tate took over as CEO in October, months before his bout.
