The alternate Super Bowl 60 halftime show, hosted by Turning Point USA, was a success.
Kid Rock led the alternate Super Bowl 60 halftime show, which went up against Bad Bunny's official Super Bowl 60 halftime show, hosted by the National Football League. More than 5 million people tuned in live to watch the "All-American" halftime show, hosted by Charlie Kirk's former organization.
The show was promoted as a "faith, family, and freedom" event. President Trump reportedly preferred that show to the one hosted by the NFL.
"I think the president would much prefer a Kid Rock performance over Bad Bunny," Karoline Leavitt said.
Kid Rock, meanwhile, took some shots at Bad Bunny.
"He's said he's having a dance party, wearing a dress, and singing in Spanish? Cool," he said of Bad Bunny. "We plan to play great songs for folks who love America."

Turning Point USA.
But will the alternate halftime show return in 2027?
The NFL has yet to announce its Super Bowl 61 halftime show performer. It's probably going to be a while before that happens, too. The NFL announced Bad Bunny back in September.
The alternate halftime show, meanwhile, will return in 2027
The alternate Super Bowl halftime show announced that it will be returning for the 2027 Super Bowl - officially.
"The All-American Halftime Show pulled in OVER 25 MILLION views on just YouTube and Rumble alone, with a lot of large groups watching together, so the number of viewers is likely far higher. And the numbers are still climbing (broadcast partners, fast channel partners, and final counts incoming)," the show announced.
"Based on tonight’s success, we have committed to running it back again next year. The All-American Halftime Show will be back in 2027.
"God bless America. 🇺🇸"
It'll be interesting to see who headlines the alternate Super Bowl 61 halftime show next year.
