"First and foremost, I trust in the call that has been given, and playing with my technique. Playing in the scheme, and trusting that coach has put us in the right position. He's going to put guys in their strengths. Other than that, quarterbacks, depending on down and distance, if they are going to try to get a first down or get a big chunk. I know we've got to play press and I know we've got to play off. But I think just trusting in what coach is going to call, and trusting in the technique that you have been doing throughout practices," Taylor said in his press conference.
Another thing that will be key on third downs this season will be players trusting in their teammates, which is something that Taylor spoke about earlier in his press conference.
"It's going good. I feel like we have a really tight corner room so far. We are asking all of the right questions. You know, we are picking off each other and learning from each other. When we come to the sideline, we correct each other when we need to, so I think we are building that competitive side, but we are also building that camaraderie really well," Taylor said.

With the cornerback room undergoing a near-complete overhaul, it is important for these players to build relationships throughout training camp rather than waiting until the regular season arrives. Establishing trust between teammates both on and off the field is essential for success, and this group has done a great job laying that foundation early on.
These relationships should help translate into better chemistry on the field. If the Titans can continue building that chemistry before they play their first regular-season game, it could become a major advantage for a new-look secondary, and with Taylor taking on the captain role of this group, the sky is the limit.
