Caitlin Clark is continuously adding onto her legacy early in her career.
The Indiana Fever dominated the defending champion Las Vegas Aces last Sunday, winning 109-75.
Aliyah Boston had 19 points and 11 rebounds while Kelsey Mitchell scored 27 points for the visitors. Clark, now a three-time WNBA All-Star, had 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists.
With her performance, she has become the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 600 assists. Clark only needed 72 games to reach this milestone.
After the game, Boston took to Instagram to celebrate her teammates' incredible achievement.
“Slayyyyy babygirlllll 🐐🐐🐐,” Boston wrote in her caption, sharing the Fever's announcement on Clark's historic feat.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes star surpassed the previous record of 81 games held by two-time WNBA champion Katie Smith.
Clark’s 600th career assist came in the third quarter with 24.1 seconds left. Indiana ran a pick-and-roll action with the Fever star and Monique Billings. The pair ran it perfectly, which led to an and-one basket by the 6-foot-4 forward.
The 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year is well known as a sniper on the court. However, Clark has always been a great passer. She is currently averaging 8.3 assists per game in her career.
Clark has become the franchise cornerstone and has emerged as one of the best players in the league today.
After the Fever won the 2025 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup, Clark is now looking to lead the Fever to a WNBA Championship.
