Aliyah Boston finished the 2025 WNBA season with averages of 15.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.2 steals, establishing herself as an MVP contender and an All-WNBA Second Team member.
The Indiana Fever center continued her dominance in the offseason. She joined the 3-on-3 league Unrivaled and went on to win Defensive Player of the Year. Boston tallied 18.9 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.1 blocks in 14 games played for her team, Phantom BC.
While a lower-body injury prevented her from joining Team USA in the FIBA Women's World Cup Qualifying Tournament, Boston has certainly cemented her status as one of the brightest young talents in the league today.

In fact, WNBA general managers view Boston highly, especially among centers in the league.
In the latest WNBA GM Survey, the Fever All-Star ranked among the top centers in the league. She finished third with 14% of votes, trailing only four-time WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson (57%) and one-time MVP Jonquel Jones (21%).
It's worth noting that Boston is only 24 years old and entering just her fourth season in the pros. That being said, she certainly has the chance to be the best at her position in the next few years.
Of course, surpassing Wilson is easier said than done. There's no denying that the Las Vegas Aces star is the most dominant player the WNBA has ever seen. However, the fact that Boston is already thriving this early in her career should provide plenty of optimism about her future.
