The Indiana Fever survived a fiery comeback from the Washington Mystics, thanks to a clutch shot from Caitlin Clark.
Indiana led by as many as 17 points in the game, but Clark and company found themselves trailing the Mystics 76-75 with 4.3 seconds left on the clock after two free throws from Sonia Citron.
With one final shot to win the game, Clark stepped up for the Fever and drained a triple with 1.2 seconds remaining to give Indiana the lead and the eventual 78-76 victory.
Clark received the inbound pass from Sophie Cunningham after getting some space from the Mystic defense. As Cotie McMahon tried to steal the ball but failed, it gave Clark the perfect chance to launch her game-winner.

After the win, Fever star Aliyah Boston was full of praise for Clark. She also made sure to mention the mistake the Mystics made in those final few seconds: which was leaving the sharpshooter open for the triple.
"I mean are we surprised? Caitlin Clark is Caitlin Clark, and she does that," Boston said when asked about her reaction to the game-winner. "It's a great shot, she's a shooter and you can't leave her that open."
To Boston's point, the Mystics should have known better than to give Clark an open look, especially from deep. One could certainly argue that McMahon should have marked the Fever All-Star instead of going for the steal.
Regardless, the Fever are certainly delighted with how things turned out. They improved to 6-5 on the season with the win, putting them at No. 6 in the WNBA standings.
Clark finished with 19 points, three rebounds, five assists and one steal. Boston, for her part, chipped in 14 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
