The Indiana Fever have two players who can be legitimate MVP candidates: Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.
Clark is averaging 21.7 points and 8.2 assists per game this season, putting her at No. 3 in WNBA scoring and second in assists. She most recently extended her WNBA record for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in a single season to nine, highlighting her impact on the team.
Mitchell, meanwhile, is second in the WNBA in scoring with 24.3 points per game. She currently holds the record for the longest 20-point streak in a single season with 17, achieving it with her 28-point showing against the New York Liberty on Tuesday.

While some would say that Clark has had a bigger impact on the Fever because of her playmaking, her Fever teammate Aliyah Boston expressed her belief that Mitchell has been the MVP of the team and the WNBA this season.
"I think, honestly, she's really just the MVP," Boston declared when asked to comment on Mitchell during Thursday's practice. "I think that's just what she’s been doing. Every single night you see her come out and she drops I don’t even know how many points at this rate. She defends her butt off. She does exactly what she needs to do, and so I'm really proud of her."
Boston's statement quickly drew plenty of reactions, with many noting how Clark impacts the Fever beyond scoring. Even popular sports commentator Skip Bayless wrote on social media that he does "not love what Aliyah said about Kelsey Mitchell."
For what it's worth, ESPN considers Clark an MVP contender, listing her as a top-three candidate along with Olivia Miles. However, Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson remains the favorite.
The list also has Mitchell as a longshot, highlighting how Clark is ahead of her teammate.
