The Indiana Fever may have lost to the Phoenix Mercury during their rematch on Wednesday, but it wasn't without some positives.
While it's hard to find something to celebrate in a game in which the Fever saw their best player leave the game due to injury, Aliyah Boston did give the Indiana faithful a reason to be happy about.
Boston finished the game with 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists and one steal. In doing so, she climbed the Fever's all-time rebounding leaderboard.
Boston is now second on the team in rebounds with 1,198 career boards. She entered the game with 1,189 boards, needing two to surpass Erlana Larkins' 1,190 rebounds recorded over her six-year career with Indiana.

The 24-year-old center is now second only to Tamika Catchings on the franchise's all-time rebounding list. However, Boston will probably need more time to catch up to the WNBA legend since Catchings recorded 3,316 rebounds during her Fever career.
"Congrats, AB," the Fever wrote on Instagram to celebrate Boston's accomplishment. "Aliyah Boston is now second place for rebounds in franchise history."
What made Boston's feat even more remarkable is the fact that it only took her four seasons and a total of 141 regular season games to achieve this milesone. In comparison, Larkins needed 189 games.
Catchings played her entire 15-season WNBA career with the Fever. She averaged 7.3 rebounds per game for her career. Considering that Boston averages 8.5 rebounds per game for her career, it's not hard to imagine her eventually surpassing Catchings.
