I'm not a purple sneaker guy — at least not predominantly purple. I own a Randy Moss Minnesota Vikings jersey that I love, and I wouldn't wear an all-purple sneaker with it. Now that I've established that, the Air Jordan 4 'Canyon Purple' isn't a sneaker that'll get me to change my stance on predominantly purple shoes, but it is one that sports a combination of texture and boldness sure to cause a double take. Let's talk sneakers.

Where Can You Buy the Air Jordan 4 'Canyon Purple'?
This one launched in 2022 with wide distribution, so resale stayed reasonable and stock is easy to find. Pairs are stocked on GOAT and Flight Club in the extended women's run.
The value is real here. Recent StockX sales average around $238, with plenty of sizes hovering near the $200 retail, so you're not paying a grail premium to wear it.
What Makes the Air Jordan 4 'Canyon Purple' Stand Out?
The material is the whole story. A thick, shaggy purple suede covers the panels, toe box and tongue, a finish reviewers compare to the Nike SB "Skunk Dunk" and certain Travis Scott 4 samples. It's a far cry from the standard leather AJ4, closer in spirit to the premium suede on the A Ma Maniere Violet Ore 4.
Alligator green speckles hit the midsole, eyestays and star-adorned forefoot for a retro ACG nod, while Safety Orange pops on the tongue and insoles. That green-and-orange contrast is what earned the "Joker" tag, and it sits in the same bold-purple lane as the Zen Master Amethyst Wave.
Why Does the Women's Air Jordan 4 'Canyon Purple' Still Matter?
Canyon Purple is a clean example of a WMNS Jordan that broke the gender label. Extended sizing up to a men's 15 made it functionally unisex, and men chased the larger pairs hard, the same crossover that pushed pairs like the women's AJ6 'Sail' into wider rotations.
It also shows Jordan Brand getting adventurous with materials on women's exclusives, then backing it with sizing so everyone can play. The only real barrier is the conversion: women's minus 1.5 equals men's.
Should You Buy the Air Jordan 4 'Canyon Purple' (2022)?
If you want a non-OG 4 that stands out in on-foot shots, this is an easy yes. The near-retail pricing and standout texture make it a wear-and-style pair rather than a stash piece, and it lands softer than a heavy hitter like the AJ13 'Court Purple'.
Grab your converted size and rotate it. ACG and outdoor-aesthetic fans get the most mileage out of this one.
