2025 was possibly one of the best years ever for sneaker fans as we got countless amounts of releases. Like I have said before, the first three months of the year gave us maybe the best back-to-back-to-back sneaker releases we have ever seen. To start off the year we got the Black Cat 3s, then in February we got the Black Metallic 5s (which should've won sneaker of the year) and finally we got the classic Flu Game 12s in March.
Last year gave us a slew of 12s as all 3 of the most major 12s got released, the Flu Games, French Blues and the Taxi's. That kind of heat in one year is rare but as a sneaker fan I was not complaining one bit. My favorite release of the 12s were the Taxis by far, the simple black and white scheme on that model just takes the cake.

Significance of the Taxi 12s
The Taxis are an original colorway of the 12s which was first debuted in late 1996. The Taxis were seen on court during the 96/97 season, and the name "Taxi" comes from the "Taxi-Yellow" around the shoe, though it would be a good play on a taxicab that isn't the case unfortunately. The shoe came back in 2008 as one of the Countdown Packs Jordan used to do and released again in 2013 as a standard drop.
Where to Buy the Taxi 12s
The current reselling websites GOAT and StockX have them ready to ship for around 205-$250. For a retro this classic having some sizes for under retail price is an absolute steal.
