Former NBA players Delonte West and Michael Beasley are preparing to trade punches this Friday, October 16, at Adin Ross’ Brand Risk 16 boxing event in Miami, Florida.
However, their upcoming matchup won’t be the first time the two have gotten physical.
During a recent face-to-face meeting, West revealed that he and Beasley have a history of competitive encounters dating back to their basketball careers, including previous scuffles.

Delonte West Reveals History With Michael Beasley
In footage captured by interviewer Fred Beck and shared by IFN Boxing, West and Beasley came face-to-face ahead of Friday’s boxing match.
Despite their upcoming showdown, the interaction appeared friendly, with both former NBA players exchanging words and catching up.
Afterward, Beck asked West about seeing his opponent.
“Oh, it was nothing,” West said before sarcastically recalling their shared basketball history, including playing against each other, competing on the same teams and getting into scuffles.
When Beck asked whether the two had actually fought or argued before, West confirmed their competitive history.
“Oh, yeah, yeah. We’re two fierce competitors, you know. And we both want to win. We love to win,” West explained.
The former Cleveland Cavaliers guard also made it clear that their previous encounters have not left him intimidated.
“Ain’t nobody scared, you know. It is what it is,” West said.
West added that both men enjoy competing, suggesting their familiarity could make Friday’s matchup particularly interesting.
