Adam Schefter broke some ESPN family news over the weekend.
The prominent ESPN NFL insider reports that Rex Ryan's son, Seth Ryan, has landed an NFL coaching job. While Rex Ryan remains an analyst at ESPN, his son, Seth Ryan, has been rising up in the NFL coaching ranks.
Seth Ryan, 31, landed a job with the New York Jets this weekend. He'll serve as a passing game coordinator.
Schefter broke the news on ESPN on Sunday morning. He pointed out that it's the third generation of Ryans coaching in New York. Both Rex Ryan and his father, Buddy Ryan, coached the Jets.
“Hey, this is the third generation of Ryans in New York,” Schefter said this weekend. “Hopefully, there’s a Ryan smart enough to bring [Mike Greenberg] a little bit of happiness. We got Buddy Ryan, Rex Ryan, and now Seth Ryan with the Jets, all in the family and a tremendous story. We all now have to root for the Jets.”

Ryan, best known for his time in New York, is overjoyed that his son is getting this opportunity.
The prominent ESPN NFL analyst has made it clear that he's extremely high on his son, too. He believes he'll be a head coach one day.
Ryan boasts about his son's future
However, Mike Greenberg joked about how joyful it is to be associated with the New York Jets.
“I can’t tell you guys how much joy it has brought me over the years, so I’m glad to welcome you on board,” he joked, per Awful Announcing.
Ryan, meanwhile, is confident that his son will be successful.
“This guy’s legit and he’s going to be on the sideline being a head coach one of these days too. I’m gonna tell you what — with the sweater vest,” Ryan said, referring to his iconic NFL sideline look. “Go for it, kid.”
