A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces is widely considered the best player in the WNBA. Coming off a season in which Wilson won her third championship in four years (2022, 2023, 2025) and her second straight MVP award, the 6-foot-4 center's Aces are back in the mix for the WNBA's 30th anniversary season.
Sitting at No. 2 in the Western Conference with a 14-5 record, only Olivia Miles and the Minnesota Lynx, at 15-4, have a better record in the league. Wilson leads the WNBA in scoring at 25.7 points per game and in blocks at 2.0. The Heathwood Hall Episcopal School alum is third in rebounds at 9.4 and ninth in steals at 1.6.

The South Carolina Gamecocks standout started the season hot, winning Western Conference Player of the Month for May, and has maintained her tremendous play. On Friday, the WNBA recognized the five-time All-WNBA first-team selection as the Western Conference Player of the Month for June. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark received the honor for the Eastern Conference.
Wilson led Las Vegas to a 9-2 record in June. In an average of 33.4 minutes per game, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year averaged 26.5 points, 10.3 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.8 blocks while shooting 52.6% from the field. This is now the 15th Player of the Month award for the former No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft, extending her record further over the recently retired Tina Charles, who has 10.
