Esteban Ocon has announced that his tenure with Haas will come to an end at the end of the 2026 Formula 1 season, marking the end of his two-year stint with the team.
The Frenchman announced it on social media before the next race weekend, after weeks of speculation about his future. Ocon signed with Haas for the 2025 season and has stayed with Ollie Bearman. Ocon has 12 point finishes with Haas, with his best finish coming in fifth place at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix.
Ocon, however, has made it clear that the split is not the end of his career.

“My immediate focus is the next race weekend,” he said. “I will continue to work hard with the team, maximize every opportunity, and keep extracting every bit of performance from the car.”
“There are still many races to go this season,” he said. Promising to give “my everything behind the wheel for myself and for my team.”
Ocon Insists Haas Departure Is Not End of F1 Career
His most powerful message was about his future.
Ocon said, “I am still motivated. I am still hungry. This is absolutely not the end of my Formula 1 career.”
Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu expressed his gratitude to Ocon for his involvement since 2025, noting his “professionalism and commitment” in the process of changing the regulations.
No word yet on Ocon’s next stop. Ferrari junior Rafael Camara is the top contender to replace him at Haas, while The Race suggests Ocon could be a reserve if he fails to get a race seat in 2027.
Ocon is currently concentrating on this season. His Haas chapter is coming to an end, but he plans to continue his quest for another shot at Formula 1.
