Major League Baseball announced its 2026 All-Star Game starters and reserves on Saturday evening, July 4.
The 2026 Midsummer Classic will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania later this month. The 2026 AL and NL All-Star teams are headlined by Shohei Ohtani, Bryce Harper, Paul Skenes, James Wood and others.
New York Yankees star Aaron Judge, who hasn't played in more than a month due to an injury, was still voted in as a starter. However, his starting spot is facing some scrutiny, as he really hasn't made much of an impact this year, due to his injury. While his numbers are still great, many fans feel that he hasn't earned the spot.

Judge has played in 59 games so far this year. He missed all of June and is expected to miss much of July, too.
"This is so bad for the sport… he hasn’t played a baseball game in like 2 months," one fan wrote.
MLB fans debating Judge's All-Star selection
MLB fans are a bit torn. Judge is an obviously great player, and his numbers for 2026 are still great, but should he be starting?
"Doesn’t matter, Yankees fans still gonna vote him in even though he was playing like (expletive) to start the year. Dudes not even a qualified batter anymore with how much time he’s missed, should be an automatic disqualification from being an all star," one fan wrote.
"This is almost equally as bad as Vlad Jr getting in. If they really wanted true entertainment they should have Vlad and Jazz 1 v 1 Home run derby only and first to 20 wins. Event might take up the entire weekend," one fan joked.
"The fact the vladdy, judge and trout were all voted in as starters is a joke. Really would like fan voting to go away," one fan added.
What do you make of Judge's selection?
