A.J. Brown closes his chapter with the Philadelphia Eagles to join the New England Patriots. The wide receiver seems satisfied with his Eagles tenure.
Following months of speculation, the Eagles sent Brown to the Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and 2027 second-round pick. He exceeded 1,000 receiving yards in each of his four seasons in Philadelphia and leaves The City of Brotherly Love with a Super Bowl ring.
On Tuesday's Good Morning Football, NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo relayed that Brown went to the Eagles facility on Thursday to collect belongings and say goodbye. He signed a picture of himself on the wall with fellow Pro Bowlers, allegedly leaving an interesting message.
"From what I was told, he then added, 'The best to ever play here. Always open,'" Garafolo said. "That signature is going to stay up on the wall. They may have to edit out the message."

Few people would actually argue that Brown was the greatest Eagles player ever. He exits the organization 13th in all-time catches (339) and ninth in receiving yards (5,034).
Still, Brown made an indelible impact during his brief stint with the team.
Brown's 81.2 receiving yards per game rank second in franchise history behind Terrell Owens, who averaged 93.5 yards through 21 games. He found the end zone 32 times in 62 regular-season games and once in each of his two Super Bowl appearances.
In his first year, Brown set a single-season franchise record with 1,496 receiving yards. He then mounted the second-highest tally with 1,456 yards in 2023, joining tight end Zach Ertz as the only other Eagles player to compile 100 catches in a season.
Of course, it'll certainly be tough for Brown to surpass Tom Brady as the greatest Patriots player of all time. The 28-year-old can still make a mark by giving Drake Maye and the reigning AFC champions a top outside playmaker.
