Pro Bowl EDGE rusher Maxx Crosby has reportedly vowed that he will never play for the Raiders again after how the team handled his situation last season. But where exactly will he end up?
Las Vegas finished the 2025 campaign with a 3-14 record, shutting down Crosby for the last two games due to a meniscus injury that nagged him all year.
That led to a viral response from the five-time Pro Bowler on social media showing that he was healthy enough to play. And now Raiders brass could be preparing to trade their best player as soon as this week.

NFL insider predicts Maxx Crosby trade could happen very soon
In one of his latest columns, SI's Albert Breer offered his thoughts on Crosby's immediate NFL future and he believes a trade is very much on the table — albeit with a caveat.
"I’d lean toward a Maxx Crosby trade happening, and maybe this week," Breer wrote."But there’s going to have to be some needle-threading. I don’t think the Raiders want to go through the song-and-dance of shopping him, nor do I believe Crosby wants it advertised that he’s looking for suitors, given his bond with owner Mark Davis, and his view of himself as a Raider."
"So what would be the cleanest for everyone is for a market to emerge organically. And that could happen, given that most teams are going to start spending to their cap and cash budgets, and filling roster spots a week from now."
Las Vegas is almost assuredly going to be playing with a rookie quarterback next fall, and it's no given that Crosby's market value will ever be higher than it is right now. It's never easy to move off a player of Maxx's caliber, but sometimes it's better to move on than carry a headline this massive into a new season.
