Do the San Francisco 49ers have to worry about Nick Bosa's health this upcoming season?
Bosa, 28, had his 2025 season cut short due to a torn ACL. Although the injury occurred last September, the five-time Pro Bowler and former Defensive Rookie of the Year has been absent from a few training camp practices this summer.
Well, it turns out Bosa is being listed as week-to-week because of tendinitis in his knee.
“I had a little tendinitis from my high school ACL, and he cleaned that up while he [fixed] my ACL,” Bosa said, via Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated. “That’s gone. So it’s like an improvement. So once I’m through this rehab, I feel like my right knee—because that was kind of a chronic issue that I had a little bit, and he cleaned that up in my quad tendon and that hasn’t been an issue at all—could feel better when I’m done with this recovery.”

Will Bosa be ready for Week 1?
Despite being listed as week-to-week right now, Bosa is expected to be on the field Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams.
"Pretty normal thing with ACLs," 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said in regards to Bosa's knee injury. Gotta be smart and be week to week. No concerns about it being more than that."
Since being drafted by the 49ers in 2019, Bosa has racked up 278 tackles, 168 QB hits, 64.5 sacks and 13 forced fumbles. They'll need him healthy if they're going to contend in the NFC.
