The good news is that fall is finally here and temperatures are dropping after a brutally hot summer. The bad news is that heat has given way to a nor’easter that is set to pound tomorrow afternoon’s game between the New York Giants and the Tennessee Titans.
Per Titans reporter Jim Wyatt, the National Weather Service is expecting rain, strong winds and a 90-percent chance of precipitation.
“Forecast for Sunday’s @Titans vs @Giants game, per the National Weather Service: Rain, low 60s. North wind around 18mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%,”
High winds mean even a slightly off-center pass is likely to miss its mark. Field goals are pretty much in god’s hands in those conditions.
Rain is likely to make the ball slick and difficult to catch and hold.
All in all, it’s going to be pretty messy out there.
Suffice it to say, fans aren’t looking forward to this one:
“It’s going to be absolutely insane lol basically a hurricane hitting the east coast,” one user remarked.
“The 11-10 score prediction is sounding less crazy,” wrote another.
“Could see record-breaking punts in this one…” a third wrote.
“Oh god this game might have 10 total points.”

Rough Viewing Ahead
Compounding the entire issue is that the Giants and Titans aren’t even expected to give a good game tomorrow. The Titans are 0-2 and already rank near the bottom of the league for offense.
Meanwhile, the Giants were forced to give the starting reins over to Jameis Winston after Jaxson Dart’s injury last week. They have a bottom 12 offense too.
But above everything, a game like this has the potential for lightning. And if there’s any lightning, the game will face delays.
It’s probably going to be a rough day in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
