Running back Isaiah Rogers is gaining traction as one of the most sought-after players in the 2027 recruiting class. The Springfield, Massachusetts native holds offers from teams such as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Penn State Nittany Lions, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Georgia Bulldogs and Indiana Hoosiers.
At 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds, Rivals Industry Rankings place him as the No. 10 running back and the No. 197 player in the nation. His junior season at Central High School only upped his stock. He rushed the ball 126 times for 986 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also hauled in 37 receptions for 401 yards and three touchdowns.
While a handful of teams are fighting for his commitment, one team will come out on top. On Friday, Rivals' vice president of recruiting, Steve Wiltfong, logged an expert prediction for Rogers to choose Notre Dame. Wiltfong has a success rate of 91.38% across 1,148 all-time predictions.

Following the Fighting Irish's disappointing 2025 season, failing to make a College Football Playoff appearance, this would be a major win. Notre Dame's 2027 recruiting class already ranks seventh in the nation with eight commitments.
While defense makes up five of those additions, this is a chance for Marcus Freeman and his staff to bring in another running back. Four-star running back Lathan Whisenton committed to Notre Dame on March 25. However, the Fighting Irish haven't shied away from doubling up at the position. They're set to bring in two running backs in the 2026 cycle.
This prediction comes after Rogers was in South Bend on Saturday. He told Wiltfong that Notre Dame was "one of the top schools" on his list following the experience. With many recruits committing the summer before their senior year, Rogers' decision could be just a few months away.
