The Seattle Seahawks are right where they want to be through two weeks.
The team is 2-0 and hasn’t even really had to sweat much. Week 1 was a tight game, but the Seahawks’ elite defense made sure they wouldn’t lose. Then, in Week 2, the team dominated the Arizona Cardinals, winning 31-7.
It’s hard to nitpick much, but that’s exactly what we’re going to do today. Which players have yet to impress or meet expectations? We’re going to talk about four of them today.
RB Jadarian Price

Whether it’s fair or not, first-round picks have extra pressure to perform immediately. Jadarian Price was a first-round pick on the best team in the league, so there’s even higher expectations on the rookie than normal.
It was expected that Price would immediately take over the room, but that hasn’t happened. Instead, Price has had to split carries with Emanuel Wilson and George Holani. Wilson received 23 carries in Week 2, which is the same amount that Price has through two weeks.
Price hasn’t been bad, per se, but he has lost a fumble and he’s yet to score. It’s definitely not the hottest start for the rookie.
WR/KR Rashid Shaheed
Rashid Shaheed signed a nice extension with the Seahawks after being added in the middle of the 2025 season. Shaheed was huge down the stretch for the Seahawks last season, but he’s not earning that big raise right now.
Through two games, Shaheed has just four catches for 39 yards and no scores. That’s simply not enough production from a highly-paid weapon. Shaheed also hasn’t had any dynamic returns yet, although granted, he hasn’t had many chances.
Shaheed needs to be better going forward. This offense probably can’t ONLY rely on Jaxon Smith-Njigba all season.
DL Byron Murphy II

Byron Murphy II was awesome in 2025. The massive defensive lineman started all 17 games and collected 62 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and seven sacks. Murphy was one of the best interior linemen in the league and he was a key reason why the defense was so elite.
When that’s what you’re comparing to, it’s not surprising that 2026 has been a disappointment. Murphy has just four tackles and one tackle for loss through two games so far. PFF gives the third-year player a 52.5 grade so far, which ranks 78th out of 120 defensive linemen.
Murphy hasn’t been bad, but he hasn’t been the gamechanger he was last year.
EDGE DeMarcus Lawrence
DeMarcus Lawrence is supposedly playing his final NFL season in 2026. The star finally got his Super Bowl ring in 2025, and he played a huge role on that defense. Lawrence had 53 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and six sacks in 2025.
So far in 2026, Lawrence has just three tackles, and he’s yet to record his first sack or tackle for loss. PFF thinks he’s been mediocre, giving him a 61.2 grade, which ranks 61st out of 109 qualified edge rushers.
Like Murphy, Lawrence hasn’t been bad, but he needs to bring it up a notch as the season progresses.
