With the WNBA trade deadline set for this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, rumors involving Kelsey Plum are starting to heat up.
Plum signed a one-year, $999,999 deal with the Los Angeles Sparks prior to the 2026 regular season. Unfortunately, we haven't seen her in action since June 21 due to a lower left leg injury. She averaged 23.9 points and 6.4 assists per game prior to being sidelined with this injury.
Earlier this week, Marisa Ingemi of the Los Angeles Times reported that Plum is "likely" to be traded before Sunday's deadline.
“Couple of league sources I spoke with this morning said it’s “most likely” that the Sparks will trade Kelsey Plum by the Sunday trade deadline,” Ingemi said. “They’ve gotten multiple calls from other WNBA teams and the plan is to move her.”
On Saturday afternoon, Madeline Kenney of the New York Post said the Atlanta Dream, New York Liberty and Phoenix Mercury have expressed interest in trading for Plum.

What if the Sparks fail to trade Plum before the deadline?
In the event the Sparks don't trade Plum, they'll let her play under a minutes restriction this Sunday.
"If she’s not traded, however, Plum is expected to play under a small minutes restriction tomorrow against Portland after missing the past 11 games with a lower leg injury," ESPN's Ramona Shelburne said. "The Sparks went 2-9 without their leading scorer, who will become an unrestricted free agent after the season."
We'll see if the Sparks can get a blockbuster deal done with less than 24 hours to go before the deadline.
