The Seattle Seahawks are probably still shocked by how Week 3 went down.
The team went across the country and lost to the Washington Commanders. It was a disappointing result, and there’s not just one reason for the loss. Turnovers, lack of a running game, and defensive injuries all hurt the team, and they’ll be looking to rebound in Week 4 against the winless Los Angeles Chargers.
However, it wasn’t all bad for the Seahawks. We actually saw some elite individual performances on the day. Three Seahawks ended up earning PFF’s top honor despite the loss.
Let’s dive in and see which three players it is.

After each week, Pro Football Focus reveals its team of the week. These are the players with the highest overall grades at each position.
It might be surprising to find out the Seahawks had two defenders make this week’s team, considering the unit gave up 33 points. However, edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence and linebacker Ernest Jones IV both secured spots.
Jones collected eight tackles and one pass breakup in the loss. PFF gave Jones an elite 92.4 overall grade for the week with a 91.5 coverage grade.
Meanwhile, Lawrence picked up five tackles, one tackle for loss, and three quarterback hits. The veteran didn’t get home on any sacks, but he lived in the backfield and brought constant pressure. Lawrence has a 66.7 PFF grade for the season, which ranks 40th out of 108 qualified edge rushers.
Finally, star receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba also made the cut. Smith-Njigba had his third-straight 100-yard game of the season and also found the end zone two more times. Smith-Njigba now leads the league in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
Unsurprisingly, Smith-Njigba has an elite 92.7 grade on the season, which ranks 1st among 82 qualified receivers.
Despite the Commanders winning the game, they only had one player (linebacker Sonny Styles) make PFF’s team of the week.
