It’s only Week 2, but some NFL head coaches are already on the hot seat.
The first two weeks of the 2026 NFL regular season will wrap up on Monday evening, when the Los Angeles Rams take on the New York Giants. The Rams are coming off a Week 1 loss to the 49ers, while the Giants are coming off a win over the Dallas Cowboys on “Sunday Night Football.”
Neither the Rams or the Giants will be making a head coaching change anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean other teams across the league are 100 percent set with their coaching staffs.

Three NFL head coaches are firmly on the hot seat three weeks into the season, following their performances in Week 1 and Week 2.
Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh
The Chargers fell to 0-2 on the season on Sunday. Los Angeles star Derwin James admitted that his team looks like “trash.”
Jim Harbaugh’s team, which has lost in the Wild Card round in back-to-back seasons, fell to the Cardinals and the Raiders.
Those are bad losses.
This was supposed to be a make-or-break year for Justin Herbert and Co. So far, it looks like it’s going to be the latter.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn
The Commanders dropped to 0-2 on the season on Sunday, with a blowout loss to the Cowboys in Dallas.
Washington lost star quarterback Jayden Daniels to an elbow injury. Quinn faced backlash for not kicking the field goal the end of the first half.
The Commanders had a disappointing season in 2025 and are on track for a bad year in 2026, too.

Colts head coach Shane Steichen
The Colts fell to 0-2 on the season on Sunday, with an overtime loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Colts owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon made it clear that Steichen needs to perform this season. So far, he has not.
The Colts will need to bounce back in a major way moving forward if he’s going to keep his job.
