The New York Knicks are coming off a championship-winning season, and while they have largely kept their core intact to begin the offseason, they have lost two key bench pieces.
In free agency, the Knicks lost Mitchell Robinson to the Boston Celtics and Ariel Hukporit to the Philadelphia 76ers, leaving the franchise with a glaring hole in their frontcourt depth behind Karl-Anthony Towns.

Because of this, the Knicks will likely look to add multiple big men in free agency to upgrade their frontcourt depth and these three centers could be potential targets for them.
Andre Drummond
One player the Knicks could target to fill the voids left by Robinson and Hukporti is veteran big man Andre Drummond.

For Drummond, he is coming off a season with the 76ers in which he averaged 6.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 47.2% from the field and 35.6% from three.
The 32-year-old center would provide New York with a solid inside scorer, who has also improved his outside shooting over recent years, along with a great rebounder and defender to back up Towns.
Nick Richards

Last season, Richards averaged 5.8 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 51.2% from the field with both the Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls and he has emerged as one of the top available backup centers in free agency.
Richards would give the Knicks a solid scorer and rebounder behind Towns who could play a key role off the bench as New York attempts to win another title next season.
Kevon Looney
Kevon Looney has also been linked to the Knicks in free agency and he could be a solid addition to their roster, especially with his championship experience during his time with the Golden State Warriors.

Looney is coming off a season in which he averaged 2.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while shooting 41.7% from the field with the New Orleans Pelicans, though he did play only 21 games due to injuries.
Despite his injury woes last season, the 30-year-old big man could still be a solid addition to the Knicks’ bench due to his inside scoring and rebounding skills.
While the Knicks could target these three big men in free agency, they could also consider other options, such as Jaxson Hayes, Marvin Bagley III and Drew Eubanks, to bolster their center depth following the departures of Robinson and Hukporti.
