Another week of the 2026 NFL regular season is now in the books, which means another handful of fans are looking more closely at the 2027 NFL Draft picture than they are their favorite team’s chances of making a playoff run this year.
It’s been a rough start for a trio of winless teams, as the Tennessee Titans, Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers have all started the year with five straight losses. On the bright side, they also have an inside track to the No. 1 overall pick, which would give them the opportunity to land a generational player like Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith.
There’s still plenty of football left to be played this season, though, giving those three teams time to turn things around, while also leaving the door open for other teams to sink to the bottom of the standings but the top of the draft order.
