2026 Fantasy Football RB Risers

Cam Skattebo, New York Giants

Skattebo has progressed from a serious leg and ankle injury to sharing the top spot on New York's depth chart with Tyrone Tracy Jr. His recovery has restored much of the disparity in fantasy value that disappeared when his rookie season ended prematurely, with Skattebo now going at RB18 compared to RB44 for Tracy.

Bucky Irving, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Irving opened training camp at full speed after offseason shoulder surgery, removing the biggest health concern surrounding his draft value. He remains positioned to handle the majority of Tampa Bay's carries and sits at RB20, well ahead of Kenneth Gainwell at RB35.

David Montgomery, Houston Texans

Coming over in a trade from Detroit, Montgomery has established himself atop Houston's backfield, and he's drawing strong support from his head coach. It's fair to expect that Woody Marks will remain involved, but just how much is certainly up for debate. Monty's projected advantage in carries and goal-line work gives him a stronger fantasy profile, and fantasy owners are keen to it, with Montgomery having climbed to PPR RB24 compared to RB43 for Marks in ADP.

J.K. Dobbins, Denver Broncos

Dobbins has returned from Lisfranc surgery as the first running back on Denver's depth chart ahead of RJ Harvey. A recent soft-tissue issue adds some risk, but his hold on the starting role has strengthened his bid for RB2 production in the eyes of drafters. Harvey still carries the slightly higher ADP at RB30 compared to RB33 for Dobbins, but durability and youthful upside are on the former's side.

Jonathon Brooks, Carolina Panthers

Brooks' fantasy value continues to climb as he returns from consecutive ACL tears, and Chuba Hubbard's hamstring injury has created an immediate opportunity for separation in the eventual regular-season touch split. The ADP gap between Hubbard at RB32 and Brooks at RB36 has narrowed considerably.

MarShawn Lloyd, Green Bay Packers

Josh Jacobs' groin injury has pushed Lloyd into extensive work with Green Bay's first-team offense. The USC product remains a late-round option at RB60, but he would carry substantial upside if Jacobs, currently RB14, misses regular-season action.

Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars

Handling most of Jacksonville’s first-team work while Chris Rodriguez Jr. gradually returns from foot surgery, he has strengthened his case to lead a backfield that appeared unsettled entering the summer. Tuten sports an RB25 ADP, well ahead of Rodriguez at RB45, as gamers don't seem to be putting much stock into the co-starter label on Jacksonville's depth chart.

Tyler Allgeier, Arizona Cardinals

Allgeier has climbed to the top of Arizona's backfield while James Conner remains limited in his recovery from foot surgery. Jeremiyah Love's ankle injury creates another opening for touches, and Allgeier is already being drafted at RB47 ahead of Conner at RB56.

2026 Fantasy Football RB Fallers

RJ Harvey, Denver Broncos

The strength of rookie production came after Dobbins suffered his season-ending injury, when his workload increased from 7.5 touches to nearly 17 per game. Dobbins now leads a three-player rotation that also includes rookie Jonah Coleman, making Harvey's RB30 price a potential PPR value. Dobbins is typically available at RB33, and that slight difference in investment illustrates how fantasy drafts view these two. Dobbins has a much stronger RB3 case in non-PPR.

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers

Entering the offseason as Carolina’s established starter, he now faces legitimate competition for carries and receiving opportunities with Brooks’ healthy return. As the hamstring injury's draft ramifications haven't fully caught up, Hubbard still goes first at RB32, but Brooks has climbed to RB36 and could force Carolina coaches to make an uncomfortable decision once both backs are healthy.

Kenneth Gainwell, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Gainwell drummed up offseason appeal while Bucky Irving recovered from shoulder surgery, creating the possibility of a larger early-season role. Irving's full-speed return has eliminated most of that opportunity, leaving Gainwell primarily as a complementary back and passing-game option at RB35 compared to Irving at RB20.

James Conner, Arizona Cardinals

Conner's scant fantasy value has fallen as his recovery from foot surgery continues to limit his training camp workload. Tyler Allgeier's emergence and the addition of Jeremiyah Love create more competition for touches, with Conner now going at RB56 behind Allgeier at RB47 and well behind Love at RB13.
